Through the course of the book I share some of my funny stories and experiences I have had through youth football whilst at the same time giving you a step by step guide on everything you need to know from registering your team to dealing with parents its all in there.

The Blogs keep on coming

Sky Sports have now published three of my Fan Zone blogs and I have updated the links section on the right so there is now a direct link to the page which hosts all my blogs on one page so you can easily click betwen them.

First two games under my belt

After Argyle had been drawn away from home in their first game of the season they had two home games in four days and I managed to get two commentary games under my belt for Soccer Sight commentating at Argyle's 1 all draw with QPR followed by Argyle's 3 - 1 loss to Cardiff. The football hasn't been great so far but it has been great to get back to commentating and I am still loving every minute of it.

Introduction

From the day I was able to walk I have always been involved with and interested in football. Nothing beat the days we use to have as kids knocking a ball about outside the house using a farmers gate as a goal and playing until it was too dark to see. Since then I have gone on to play for various club and still enjoy playing football to this day.

My involvement in football didn’t stop at playing as at age thirteen I became one of the youngest qualified and active football referees in the country. During my time as a ref I got to ref for various leagues all across the county as well as officiating at some professional grounds and at some big games. I still enjoy being a referee although due to all my other commitments I am not as active as I use to be.

For the last four years I have been a youth football coach, coaching a boys side to for two seasons and then coaching a girls side for the last two years. I have my FA qualification in coaching and enjoy every minute of it. There is nothing like coaching young people football and watching them learn and develop.

On top of all this I am a football commentator for visually impaired fans who go and watch Plymouth Argyle through the Soccer Sight project run by the RNIB. Most home games you can see up Home Park in the back of the Mayflower hopefully bringing the game to life and entertaining some great fans.

So there in a nutshell is my history in football and I’m only 25. I’m passionate about football and the power the sport has and through this blog I am going to share with you all the goings on in my footballing career as well as giving thoughts and opinions on what is happening in the wider football scene.
